12:52 A.M. New Moon

Color: Blue

When you hear the term “New Moon,” these days, your mind probably goes immediately to Stephanie Meyer’s quadrilogy, New Moon being the third in the series.  I’m not at all into vampires, lovesick and sensitive, or not. I’ve never been able to get into the books or the movies, sorry Edward and Bella.  Harry Potter, on the other hand, now that’s a story!  I also LOVE anything Tim Burton…oh, I could go on, but I digress, from a most important lunar cycle…New Moon.

Tomorrow is a New Moon, time for initiation, time to start over, time to revisit those things that have been placed on the back burner for entirely too long.

I was reminded lately that a faithful reader is waiting, waiting for the “deluge of words” to use his phrase, and like the teacher in Ferris Buehler’s Day Off, I keep hearing “Buehler? …Buehler?…Anyone?”

In Celtic tradition, it is the night called All-Hallows-Even, the night before All Hallows Day, a time that signifies the beginning of the dark half of the year and thought to be the beginning of the Celtic New Year.  It is believed to be the night when the veil that separates us from the spirit world grows thin, and we have an opportunity to connect to those that have gone before.
